OVERVIEW:

Aramco Trading Americas (ATA), wholly owned by subsidiaries of Saudi Aramco, is seeking a motivated and self-driven individual to join our team as  Assistant Treasurer. The position is part of a small team handling a wide range of treasury functions to support Aramco Trading Americas.

The Assistant Treasurer will be mainly responsible for cash forecasting, trade finance, affiliate loan management, company guarantee review, Treasury workstation maintenance, and bank relationship management. The Assistant Treasurer will initially be in training with the Treasury Manager.   
 

PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

  • Responsible for weekly and monthly cash forecasting. Analyzes cash trends to improve forecasting accuracy. Interact with a wide range of stakeholders from affiliates and a cross-functional internal team to identify ways to streamline the forecasting process of the newly created commodity trading company.
  • Manage bank accounts and make recommendations to improve the banking structure.
  • Support activities to grow and maintain the company’s trade finance capacity, including reviewing bilateral letter of credit agreements, negotiating terms, issuing and amending letters of credit, and coordinating parent company guarantee issuance.
  • Fully utilize the available treasury system (Kyriba) to unlock value, including implementing new modules, troubleshooting system errors or operational issues, and documenting procedures.
  • Responsible for month-end closing and providing periodic reports to parent companies and affiliates.
  • Responsible for affiliate loan management, compliance, and administration
  • Provide advice on cost of working capital.
  • Back up the daily cash positioning, cash investments, FX, etc.
  • Responsible for ad hoc projects and analysis
     

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting required
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in treasury operations.
  • Strong analytical skills, including modeling practices.
  • Familiarity with banking platforms, payment formats, cash flows, and forecasts.
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple projects.
  • Ability to collaborate with a range of business partners to develop and achieve shared objectives.
  • Must be able to work in an office environment located in downtown Houston, TX
