OVERVIEW:
Our Supply & Trading business continues to further expand into international markets. The Hydrocarbon Settlements Manager role is responsible for all domestic and international hydrocarbon activity from settlements to cash forecasting to dispute resolution. This role will provide exposure to all aspects of Hydrocarbon Settlements Manager back-office transaction processes and systems. The Hydrocarbon Settlements Manager will also be responsible for managing our relationship with an external service provider that assists in the execution of the day-to-day transactional activity. The position will be very fast paced with a wide array of responsibilities that offers a range of exposure to many facets of the Supply & Trading business.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:

The Hydrocarbon Settlements Manager role is responsible for all domestic and international hydrocarbon activity from settlements to cash forecasting to dispute resolution. The Hydrocarbon Settlements Manager will also be responsible for managing our relationship with an external service provider that assists in the execution of the day-to-day transactional activity. The position will be very fast paced with a wide array of responsibilities that offers a range of exposure to many facets of the Supply & Trading business.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES:
- Manage offshore BPO contract comprised of approximately 30 team members in India.
- Monthly Closing – Management of the team to help assure the completeness, accuracy, and timely completion of monthly hydrocarbon accounting closes. This process is data intensive and requires that Right Angle close by the end of Workday 3 and SAP close by end of Workday 5. The Hydrocarbon Settlements Manager is responsible for the distribution of work around the team to accomplish the closing within the required timeframe.
- Renewable Volume Obligation – Responsible for the accurate reporting and recording of Renewable Volume Obligation (RVO) and RINs required to meet the obligation.
- Cash forecasting – Responsible for managing the cash forecasting of Supply & Trading business units to Treasury, including management of variance analysis and lookbacks.
- KPI Management – Responsible for the accurate and complete submission of Hydrocarbon Management KPIs as well any actions needed to improve KPI performance.
- Financial Analysis - Work closely with other Finance groups in the recording and analysis of financial data.
- Work with Scheduling peers to ensure inventory recording is complete and accurate each month. This will include monthly reconciliations, operational gains/losses, etc.
- Work with the Accounting team to ensure proper inventory valuation at month end close.
- Work with other accounting professionals to assist in journal preparation and posting.
- Must be willing to travel to Internationally once or twice annually to meet with offshore BPO team.
- Bachelor s Degree required. Business/Finance/Accounting degree preferred.
- Prior team management experience, with direct reports.
- Excellent analytical and computer skills, utilizing Right Angle, Microsoft Office Suite, SAP FI and SAP 4Hana.
- Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously, both in a team and individual atmosphere.
- Position requires strong analytical skills and commercial understanding.
- Strong communication skills and effective cross functional relationship building.
