Basic Function
The Academic Wellness Success Coach, under supervision, addresses individual issues that affect the successful academic, social, and personal wellness of students sponsored by Aramco while maintaining the integrity of the company’s policies and practices.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide support for students who do not meet company requirements and/or with other issues.
- Creates programs for student success. They may include content on how to study, dealing with homesickness, time management, substance abuse, adjustment issues, selfcare etc..
- Develop resources with our partner institutions and identify those resources in the surrounding community to help our students reach their full potential. These relationships/resources would be with Counselling Services, Success Centers, mental health providers and other resources.
- Helps students grasp academic studies, curriculum, and Aramco requirements.
- Guides students in setting goals to enhance engagement and academic success.
- Participate in occasional campus visit meeting with students and conducting sessions as needed
- Collects and analyzes information relevant to assigned area. Proposes solutions to problems of limited scope, low complexity or with precedents by reviewing, interpreting and evaluating available data.
- Performs special projects, studies, and related activities, which may involve several different HR functions.
- Performs other duties and participates in special projects as assigned.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, Education, Psychology, Counseling, or related field of study
- Typically, at least three – five (3-5) years of experience in a human resources field or experience as Success Coaching, Educational Advising in higher education
- Experience working with international students with diverse backgrounds
- Knowledge of employment laws and regulations affecting laws regarding privacy issues.
- Ability to:
- identify and respond to and close out simple issues and escalate as appropriate.
- analyze and interpret data and make recommendations.
- demonstrate good oral and written communication skills with good vocabulary and good grammar as needed in order to prepare accurate written communications and reports.
- pay close attention to details.
- handle confidential or sensitive information or issues.
- Proficient with business software applications.
- Must be able to comprehend and communicate accurately, clearly and concisely in English.
