Scheduler /Operator - Clean Products (1920)
JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY
Responsible for the physical operational execution of Clean Products trading activity within the relevant subsidiary to achieve commercial KPIs while minimizing operational risk and managing contractual obligations to external parties in an optimal manner. The role is responsible for end‑to‑end operational execution of clean product movements, ensuring accurate system representation, regulatory compliance, and effective coordination with internal and external stakeholders.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Process Optimization
- Execute all operational procedures supporting Clean Products’ trading activity to ensure external contractual obligations are met while minimizing operational risk.
- Manage and coordinate physical movements of clean products across pipeline and marine systems, including origin‑to‑destination execution.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization across logistics, scheduling, inventory visibility, and operational workflows.
- Ensure all operational and transactional data is accurately and timely reflected in the company’s ETRM system to enable accurate exposure reporting, P&L, settlement, invoicing, and claims processing.
- Support month‑end close activities through inventory reconciliation and coordination with Finance and Accounting teams.
Risk Management
- Ensure compliance with applicable industry regulations, pipeline tariffs, marine requirements, and internal control standards.
- Proactively identify operational risks related to logistics constraints, asset availability, quality, or timing and escalate as appropriate.
- Develop and implement contingency plans to address disruptions such as pipeline outages, vessel delays, or supply interruptions.
- Coordinate response efforts during operational events or emergencies to minimize commercial and operational impact.
Collaboration
- Partner closely with Trading, Optimization, Commercial, Product Quality, and Accounting teams to support commercial objectives and execution.
- Foster and maintain relationships with key external stakeholders, including pipeline operators, terminal operators, marine agents, inspection companies, and logistics service providers, to enhance operational visibility and mitigate risk. Commodity trading operations does require on-call capabilities.
- Participate in regular planning and coordination meetings to support alignment across trading and operations.
Regulatory Compliance
- Stay informed of changes in relevant regulations and operational requirements affecting clean products logistics.
Implement necessary process or execution changes to maintain ongoing compliance.
COMMUNICATION
Internal Communications:
- Continuous communication with Trading team, Charterers, Claims & Finance to ensure timely execution of operations procedures for specific trading activity.
External Communications:
- Collaboration with external logistics partners, shipping companies, and terminal operators to optimize fleet operations, ensure timely cargo deliveries, and mitigate supply chain disruptions.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education and Skills (Required, Preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or a related field, providing a strong foundation in operations management.
- Experience of managing logistics or shipping operations in the geography where the relevant subsidiary has active Trading operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with internal teams, external partners, and senior management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify operational inefficiencies, implement process improvements, and drive performance optimization.

- Proficiency in ETRM systems (e.g., SAP) and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
Experience and Knowledge (Required, Preferred)
- 1+ years of progressive experience in operations management, supply chain management, or trading operations within a relevant trading geography.
- Knowledge of pipeline and/or marine logistics, inventory management, and operational execution for clean products.
- Familiarity with US Gulf Coast logistics systems is preferred.
